Here’s how to get ready for this meaningful ceremony — and what each moment represents.
Step 1: Understand the Traditions
- 抓周 (First Grab Ceremony) – Baby chooses an item that symbolises their future interest.
- 聪明门 / 聪明鼓 – Passing the Gate of Wisdom and beating the drum invite intelligence and creativity.
- 踩红龟粿 – Stepping on Ang Ku Kueh blesses longevity.
- 啃鸡腿 & 红鸡蛋 – Symbolise strength, prosperity, and protection.
- 五福盘 – A plate of five blessings for peace, wealth, and happiness.
Each tradition becomes a photo moment that connects your child to generations of heritage.
Step 2: What to Bring
TinyTodds prepares all props and symbolic items, but parents can add personal touches — a family heirloom, favourite toy, or traditional outfit to make the session uniquely theirs.
Dress your baby in comfortable pastels or classic red for good luck — both look beautiful against our custom sets.
Step 3: Enjoy the Moment
Our experienced photographers use Photoshoot Through Play™ to make the ceremony fun and relaxed. Babies laugh, parents smile, and every gesture is captured naturally — no forced poses, no stress.
